Small, Homer
Homer was my District Lieutenant when I arrived in Rock Springs in 1991. He was always ready with guidance and a smile. He genuinely cared.
Only got to work for him for a few years and only saw him twice after he retired... and I regret that.
Rest in Peace, LT.
I was sorry to hear of Homer's passing. I knew him for a short time while he worked in Rock Springs. He was always a kind man. I am glad I got to know him.
My deepest sympathy,
I am very sorry to hear of Lt. Small's passing. While I was stationed in Casper in the late 70's I had the pleasure of flying with Homer working traffic with him. He was a great pilot and we always had enjoyable flights and conversation.
Homer was always a leader teaching and mentoring others. Although we weren't stationed together, I know from our conversations he was also a great family man who was very proud of his family!
May God comfort you all and please know I am blessed to have known and worked with him.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Small family. Homer was my Lieutenant when I hired on as a fresh new Trooper stationed in Evanston. He was a good man and one I will always remember.

John Hart - 6/24/2016So sorry to hear of your loss. Homer and I worked together at the Lander Post Office. He was a great coworker and always a good man to be around. He always had stories to tell about the many experiences in his life and we had some fun conversations, usually over a big bowl of popcorn in the break room or some good barbeque. Most of all, he always spoke very fondly and proudly of his family. I often thought of Homer and hoped his golden years spent with all of you were his most enjoyable. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. I wish you peace and comfort.
Lori Cowling - 6/24/2016My thoughts and prayers go out to Jenny, Matt and the rest of the families. I remember Mr. Small from when we first moved to Lander in 1973 and the family lived a couple doors down. He was an officer at the time and then later on he was at the Lander Post Office and we go reacquainted. Godspeed, Mr. Small, you were a great man.
