An incredile guy from an incredible family. He taught many life lessons and lived life to the fullest. We should all follow his path of living and caring.
Connie Hirz Herrick - 8/15/2017Your family is in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Herman & Gina Blumenshine - 8/15/2017My sincere condolences to your family.
I have been an Allstate agent for almost 30 years and was so very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Mike as my Sales Leader for part of that. Of all the Sales Manager I've worked with over the years there was no comparison, Mike was by far the best in every way. Mike was not only my partner in business, he was my good friend.
I will truly miss the chance to again golf a few rounds with Mike. It was such a pleasure and always a good time. I'll also miss the chance to just sit around with him, have a few drinks, and chat.
Again, my deepest sympathies go out to you and your family. May God give you peace and ease the pain of this loss.
Pat Stocking
Please accept our heartfelt condolences, Daria and family. What a life well lived.
God bless.

I had the opportunity to learn so much from working with Mike for Many years at Allstate. Not a day goes by where a quote from him doesn't come out of my mouth. Mike had the proper perspective on life. He was an inspiration in showing the rest of us how to put family first while somehow working harder than everyone around him. Mike and Geralynn have blessed my life in ways I can never express. Mike your positivity and Git' er done attitude will forever remain with all those who crossed your path.
Philip George - 8/15/2017Geralynn and family and Brown family,

I have had the pleasure of being Mikes Advertising Rep for almost three years and really enjoyed every minute of it! In fact in going to his office, I had the opportunity of getting to know and chat with Geralynn and Bill and even visiting with that beautiful dog of his, lapdog if I may add, lol! I was even at the office, the minute Mike called and said Bills dog had puppies, come on by if you want! And I did.....I think I spent over an hour adoring how gorgeous one of the new pups was! Mike always had such a sense of humor and was always very forward- and I appreciated that. All in all, I am heartbroken to hear of his passing, especially since I had just chatted with him, congratulating him on thirty years at Allstate just two days prior. Prayers go out to this family, you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Geralynn, I am here if you need to talk, cry or just need to be angry. May God put His hand on your hearts as you go through this difficult and trying time.
Kristin Hoffman - 8/15/2017Geralynn, Bill, Cody and families, Daria, and Brown family,

In 1971 Mike was a senior and I was a sophomore and we were both pole vaulters on the Woverine track team. I tried with all my heart every day but I never could beat him, not in a track meet, not even in practice. By the time he graduated Mike held most if not all of the Riverton pole vault records and my main goal in life then was to break as many of those records as I could.
Two years later at a track meet in Riverton Mike was helping out at the pole vault event. He was also helping me by marking my take off step and other esoteric things that pole vaulters do for each other. I won the event and I was taking a shot at Mike's record. Most athletes tend to be very possessive about their records but that day I didn't see just another athlete watching his record fall. I saw what a true winner does in his everyday life. Mike was just as generous and enthusiastic is if he had no personal connection to those records whatsoever. He helped me break his record that afternoon and I can still see the smile on his face as I looked up from the pit at the bar and then at him, standing on the ladder with his fist in the air, just as excited as I was.
It took me several years to appreciate what happened that day. And now as I look back on it nearly 45 years later I realize how fortunate I was to have Mike show me that the mark of a true winner is that he helps others win. I had to be taught that lesson and it took a long time for it to sink in. But Mike was only 19 years old at the time, which leads me to believe that he came by it naturally. I think he was probably just wired up that way.
Win or lose, Mike Brown was always a Champion. And I like to think that a little piece of that Champion lives on in every person he touched.

Oh, the wonderful and fun times the Srrickler family has had with the Brown family! Though we did not get together often, when we did, it was always laughter. antics and great food. Bob had the distinct pleasure of introducing Allstate Insurance to Mike, and was so proud of how well his protégé did in his subsequent success. Mike has been so very generous with his time and support to me since I lost my sweet Bob, and I am forever grateful to him for that. We are ALL going to miss this fine guy!

Geralynn and Family,
I knew Mike from Allstate together - I was a sales leader in St. Louis at the same time he was covering Montana (and probably a few other states too!). He also worked on the same team as my mom, Virginia Altis.
While I didn't know Mike well, he always struck me as "good people" - a wise soul with an infectious smile who was kind, knew his stuff and wasn't afraid to speak his mind when it was needed.
I was shocked to hear of his death, and I am so very sorry. Your family's remembrances of Mike have filled my social media feed in the last week and those tributes have confirmed what I'd always seen in Mike at Allstate events.
Your family will be in my thoughts as you navigate the tough days to come. God Bless.
We were so sad to hear of Mikes passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you geralyn and the whole family. RIP Mike

Marla Jordan (Landis) - 8/18/2017My heart has been sad since I heard of Mike's passing. It was by chance we met as co-workers at Allstate, but by choice we became friends. He lived his life and work with integrity and was respected by all. His smile, a joke to lighten the workplace, and always a word of encouragement were his trademarks. He never lost sight of family being first! God bless the family and friends he leaves behind. He made a positive mark on our earthly world. Prayers for God's peace to surround us.
Elaine Gilligan - 8/18/2017Our thoughts and prayers are with the Brown Family. I will always remember Mike's infectious smile and sense of humor. He was a true gentleman and sportsman. The world will be a less fun place to be without him!

Don Budd told me about Mikes passing. My heart broke to hear the news. My deepest condolences to all of you! Mike was an amazing friend and mentor to me. He was one of the kindest and funniest men I've known. He is truly the epitome of what a great man is. He was a wonderful husband, father and provider and he had chivalry like to no other. I thought the world of him. I will be sending a memorial upon completing this letter to you. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I hope God gives you the strength and comfort you need as you mourn Mike.
