So very sorry for your lost.love and prayer to your family

I’ve said this before, but I’d like to put it here, where I know it belongs. With all my love for a great uncle, and awesome man.

I feel like heaven is a place where everyone gathers around Grandma’s kitchen table. That when we walk from one world to the next, our spirits unite with our loved ones who have gone before us. This is my vision, my dream, and my hope.
God called you home Uncle Butch, to sit at that table. And my heart hurts. It’s broken. But as I grieve, I remember your light. Your funny stories, and the animation in which you’d tell them. I remember your no bullshit, work hard play harder attitude, I remember you disliking to lose, your love of family, and and willingness to help.
I’ll never forget the last few years. They were to me, perfect. Everything was as it should’ve been, whole. With a piece missing, I’ll remember to fill it with good memories, and laughs of those memories.
My heart hurts for Aunt Karen, CJ, Elly, and the grandchildren and great grandchildren left behind. I love you all, you’re family, and if I could give you a hug and hold you tight, I would.
My heart hurts for my dad, Pete, and Aunt Ann, Uncle Dan, Uncle Harry, and Uncle Ray, along with their families, who know that god called a bright light home.
I love you Uncle Butch, I’ll never forget your lessons, your stories, the toast around the card table, and the beer at the camp fire. I’ll never forget the Bear Story, and will always remember you as the rock and glue of the Caress Clan. I’ll see you at Grandmas Table. Until then, give them both my love.

I am so deeply saddened for you Kim, I just was so shocked as everyone was.

I just wanted to say, what a beautiful service you had for Butch. I was very touched by the words spoken by the minister and the military presentation by the VFW.The group of people gathered to pay their respects was awesome. God bless you all. Karen you are in my prayers.
