Wells, John
Bob McWilliams sent me the link to John's obituary. I had the pleasure of being a guest at the Timberline Ranch several times over the years. First as a geology undergrad in 1982, then as a grad student in 1987 and finally as a teaching assistant to Bob in 1988 with Field Geology for Teachers. The hospitality and warmth of the John's family really made the ranch a home away from home for me. Thank you for allowing me to part of such a beautiful place, I am sorry for your loss, John seemed like an incredible man. He was somehow able to pack several lifetimes of living into one lifetime. I sure it wasn't always easy but I bet it was never dull! Again, I am sorry to hear about his passing.

Rodney C Slocum - 6/29/2019I had the pleasure of meeting John and Barb during the summer of 1991. I was with the Forest Service and we had a big tree planting project on Wolf Creek, close to the Dunoir Valley. We had around 60 tribal members from the WR Reservation stay at Timberline and was treated with kindness and stories. The Wells were the most friendliest people I've met. Wonderful memories! Blessed to have known them....
Ivan posey - 7/2/2019Our condolences to all of John's family. He and Barbara were certainly icons in the history of Dubois and the valley. The people from Dubois who lived during that period of time were very special people who led incredible lifestyles that will be remembered forever It was our pleasure to have known John and Barbara and all of the Well's family. John leaves a wonderful legacy with his children and grandchildren. He will be missed and remembered.
