Herman & Gina Blumenshine - 11/8/2019Mr. Boyd was a wonderful man and teacher. He taught me drafting and started the VICA club in 1973-1974. He was one of those teachers that you never forget. My heart goes out to you in your time of loss. Becky DuBry
Becky (Horney) DuBry - 11/10/2019Mr. Boyd was an extremely wonderful human being. When I was in 9th grade, I was introduced to the Career Center of the High School and started taking Mr. Boyd's drafting class. He was one of the best instructors I had and ended up taking up drafting as a career because of his guidance. I have been drafting now both on the board and on the computer for over 40 years and I have to credit Mr. Boyd for my success. I could have gone a whole different direction, but his guidance gave me a whole new outlook on my future, he will be greatly missed......................Thank you Mr. Boyd, your the best!!
Rodney B. Blumenshine - 11/11/2019Mary, Jeremiah and Ellie and families,
We are so sorry for your loss. Your dear father was also our dear friend. We cried after hearing of his passing, but we won't let the tears mar the smiles and laughter we shared while he was alive. Our deepest condolences to you during this very sad time.
I really have a great amount of respect for this man. He was a very knowledgeable teacher/ instructor. He always popped in my head no matter where I was employed. All the things I was taught by him stuck with me and I thanked him every time I thought of him.
Francis Addison - 11/11/2019So sorry to hear of Keith’s passing. I was a student at Riverton High School when he started teaching there in the 70’s. I took several drafting classes from Keith and I remember him as an outstanding, energetic, kid-oriented teacher. He was very easy to talk to and was good at making a teenager feel valued. During one of our conversations, he asked me if I had ever considered becoming a teacher. This was the first time anything like this had crossed my mind, and I didn’t realize how important the seed he planted would become. For the past 32 years I have been a high school educator, and am now recently retired. Over the years I have thought of Keith many times and have come to greatly appreciate the impact he had on my life. From him I learned the importance of forming relationships with students and of having faith that every kid can succeed. My hope is that students I have worked with over my career will value the time they spent with me as much as I value the time I spent with Keith. Condolences to his loved ones. Keith and you are in our prayers.
