My deepest condolences to each and everyone of you. I was blessed to know Mr. Porter as my teacher. He was always wonderful to me. He made an impression that I never forgot. All of you are in my thoughts.

Rest in Peace Ron. You will greatly missed. I remember driving you for several sports activities as a District 25 school bus driver. You always made me feel as a part of the team and I greatly appreciated this. You kept your student athletics under control with tact and dignity. My prayers go out to Toi and all your family and friends.????

Oh Robin and Becky I am so sorry for your loss your brother was a great guy.

What a sad week for our little neighborhood. May the Lord bless you all with the comfort of His presence and the knowledge of suffering come to an end.

Ron wore so many hats over the years and touched the lives of too many to count. In recent years, memorable were the devotion to his dear mother, Jean, and the obvious pride he took in herding grandchildren around the block. His friendly presence in the neighborhood will be missed. My sympathies to Toi and the rest of Ron's family.

I was shocked and saddened to learn of Ron's death. I had no idea when Jean recently passed that Ron was fighting his own battle. He was one of my favorite people and I have wonderful memories. My deepest sympathy to Roxanne and Rick and their families as well as You and family.

Ron was truly a gentle man who enjoyed his family and the love of the Riverton community. I will always cherish the memories of talking sports, kids, and coaching with him. Toi & family know you are in my thoughts! Thanks Coach, have a peaceful rest.

Miss Toi Porter and your family I am so sorry to here about the passing of Mr Porter he was a remarkable man whom I had the pleasure to get to know the best moments I had with Mr Porter were on the bench with each other and the conversations about sports were also enjoyable my condolences go the Porter family again I'm very sorry for your loss.

Bless you Coach. You were such a great mentor to me in school, life, sports, and umpiring. It was a joy umpiring games with you. Even if you made me do the plate more often, as you were the senior guy. I love you. Godspeed.

My emotions run so high, shifting between laughing at the fun college memories and crying with the loss of such an amazing human being. The world needs more Ron Porters to keep us strong. Love to you, Toi, and to your family. You are all in my heart and in my prayers.

Toi and Family, We are so grateful that we were able to meet you and Ron on one of John's Circle of Trust cruises. We just fell in love with you both. Ron was one of the kindest men we have ever met and Him and Ross had some great talks about sports and family. He will be missed by so many people. Ron was a good man! He had great role models in his Dad and Mom! My sympathies to Toi and family, Roxanne and Rick. It doesn't seem possible that so many years have flown by. He was way too young. God bless you all.

I met Ron when I helped Steve Core for many years broadcast high school sports in Green River. Ron was a delight to visit with and I could see the passion he had for sports. My condolences to his family and may his memory be eternal.

My friend, you are the best example of why teachers and coaches are so important in the lives of young people. The number of people you have had a positive impact on is absolutely amazing. I have met few people that have a greater passion for Wyoming than you. You loved the State, the people, and the sports (all levels). Thank you for what you have done for me throughout the years and I will miss you! God bless to the family, you all are in my thoughts and prayers.

We were so sorry to hear about Ron. We have such great memories of him and Toi during their time in Cody and up at the Martoglio's and especially during the basketball games. We remembered that Ron helped us moved from our rental to our first house 7 houses down the street. It was in Nov so it was snowing and the refrigerator was the last to go. Ron put it on the dolly and just ran down the sidewalk with it, with those long legs of his it was quicker than loaded and unloaded. We hope you find comfort from your memories. I was stunned and saddened to hear of Ron’s passing. Ron affected so many people in so many different areas all in such a positive way. Everyone he met he seemed to genuinely care for. His absence will be felt by everyone who knew him,. They say that, each person’s life touches many other lives, and when they aren’t there, they leave a sizeable hole. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him. My deepest sympathies to Toi and the entire Porter family

Ron, a true wolverine and a member of the Class of '71. Now there is a word for you.....class! Ron Porter was the embodiment of the word! Gone but never forgotten. Forever in our hearts.
