I am deeply saddened by Mrs. Galey's passing. She was truly a great influence in my life. Mrs. Galey was my teacher in Ord in 8th, 11th, and 12th grades. I participated in Quiz Bowl and Science Olympiad with her those years and chose to attend the state Science Olympiad competition with her over a popular band trip to Kansas City my senior year. She was one of the best teachers I ever had. She is the reason that I chose Chemistry as one of my teaching endorsements. She was able to instill in me a love and passion for chemistry. Her teaching ability was great. She was always able to make me understand the material including Physics, which I sometimes struggled with. I have many great memories of doing lab activities in her classes which helped me to learn, understand, and apply the knowledge gained in class. Mrs. Galey's sense of humor made her class a fun place to be. She was always willing to help when there was something that I didn't understand. She was willing to give me letters of recommendation for college scholarships and was willing to help me with a college project or two. I enjoyed visiting her several times when I was in college when I would come home on Fridays. While I was student teaching, she allowed me to observe her classes for a day which I enjoyed very much. I have tried to model some of my teaching based on her example. I have so many good memories of being in Mrs. Galey's classes and will always have the love of science that she helped me to develop. She was a major influence in my decision to become a teacher (which I have been doing for the past 7 years). I only regret that I did not tell her these things before she passed. I will always remember Mrs. Galey as a great person and am thankful that she was my teacher.

Jay and Family-
Fran was such a wonderful and caring person. She will be truely be missed by all. My thoughts and prayers are with each and everyone of you. May you always carry with you the the wonderful life that your wife, mother, sister, and daughter had. And may you always cherish and hold each and every memory of her as close to your heart as you can. Just remember as each one of you go on she will be with you each step of the way, she will be your guiding angel in everything that you do. May God comfort you all during this time of loss. To Jaycy--I am here for you if you ever need to talk my phone will be with me everyday so dont be afraid to call!!! I am always here for you as a friend and/or just someone to talk to....take care of yourself kid!!

Just a note to let you know that your "Kentucky" friends are thinking of you during this time. Fran was such a kind person. We appreciated so much that she and Jay put Tristan up for a few days on his journey to Kentucky. We hope you all know that we think fondly of you all and will be praying for you.
