Fritz, Charlene
My heartfelt sympathy to the family and friends of Charlene.
Charlene was a very special cousin to me confirmed on February 10, 2008 when I answered the phone at my my home in Pasadena, California and she sang "Ramona" to me, which was the name of my mother.
Charlene was not in my life very long but she made an enormous impact and contribution to my sense of self. She shared memories in vivid and descriptive detail with me about Duane Price Jolley, her uncle and my biological father, and our grandmother, Irene Price Jolley (Momo). I tried to capture it all as a record for my children and grandchildren.
Charlene will always hold a special place in my heart for her generosity of spirit. Charlene is gone but not forgotten.
So many memories of the times we shared have flooded my mind for the last couple of days since I learned Charlene has passed from this world into glory with our Lord Jesus Christ. Over 57 years worth of them! I'm so grateful for the countless contributions of love and laughter she made to my life. The most treasured contribution is when she helped me to find faith in the Holy Bible and showed me the wonderful gospel of the grace of God as recorded in Romans, that by trusting what Christ accomplished on the cross and in His resurrection I could have eternal life freely and know that I would go to heaven when I die. From that time, we shared a special spiritual bond, too. Everytime we would talk which was often we would always talk about heaven and what it might be like when we would both get there someday. She looked forward with great anticipation to this time and I am rejoicing for her as I also come to grips that our time together in this world has ended and further conversations must wait until the time for me to go from this world as well. She spent so much of her life in service to the Lord witnessing to people of the gospel of the glory of God. I know I am not the only one that will be there because of her. I am also rejoicing because she is having a wonderful reunion with Terry, her beloved daughter whom she missed so much. I know that all of you, her family, will be having much the same feelings as me and I wish I could visit with you all and be at the service, but the distance is too great for me to make it. My thoughts and prayers for your comfort will be with you. In Christs love, your cousin, Janie (Stewart) Bleth; Monmouth, Oregon Friday June 5, 2009. This, today, is the date our Grandmother (Momo) Irene passed away in 1969.
Jane Bleth - 6/5/2009Charlene was so much to so many. She was a friend to everyone she met. I have many fond memories of her quiet laughter which seemed to echo endlessly when she got tickled at something. I know that she will be missed by so many and remembered forever.
