Leon & Diane Atwood - 12/4/2022May God uphold you all in this sad time! I remember Idora (Mrs Wortman is what we always called her) being the strongest, woman in the neighborhood...she had to be to have all those rug rats! I say that in the most loving way. We were all rug rats! Good times! My prayers and thoughts are with you all!!
We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Idora. She was a good friend of my mother's, Pat Mathey and a long time neighbor in the sunset addition. I got to know several of her girls. They were always so nice to me and my family. My mother always said I dora was a saint, and I agree.
Our deepest condolence, prayers and love to your family.

I grew up on West Lane one block away from the Wortman household. I have many fond memories of Mrs. Wortman. I don't think I ever went through the kitchen when there was not a huge pot of something cooking on the stove. I remember the massive garden in the backyard and Mrs. Wortman always sewing or making something for the children. What a wonderful lady. God bless the family. I am sorry for your loss.
