Rau, Gilbert "Gil"

I'm so sorry for your loss.  I'm glad that he got his wish for a peaceful passing.  You were wonderful neighbors all those years ago.  Prayers and hugs.

So sad. He was such a great guy. He will be missed. Prayers for the family.

My Jerry enjoyed working with Gil during his years with Mt. Bell. They worked together well and had very good memories of those days.

Gil was a first rate friend, co-worker and family man. So glad I got to see him in October.  Peace be with you Gil.

We are saddened by your great loss. Gil was one of the best uncles ever. We all enjoyed his great sense of humor. He was always sharing a laugh and smile. We always enjoyed his handmade funny greeting cards he sent my parents Dick and Jeanette. Gil was always the life of the Rau reunions. He will be greatly missed.

We are very sad to be loosing such an important member of Holy Rosary parish.  Gil was an ever present person at all the parish function, he never failed to bring one thing-his happy & smiling face.  RIP Gil, I'm sure God welcomed you with with "welcome my good & faithful servant".  You will be missed by so many, especially your family, Holy Rosary parish & the Knight's of Columbus.

I remember in the 80s playing in the Rau's backyard on 9th St, and Mr Rau had a new VHS camcorder.  He took the time to film a battle scene that us kids had "choreographed."

He played back in slo-mo our tumbles and falls to make them look more dramatic and painful.

Fun times. Great memories.
