Hughes, Ruth Darlen Lauer

We are so sorry to hear of Ruth's passing. We would like to send our condolences to the Hughes and Lauer Families. Ruth and Walt were wonderful friends to us as we were growing up. Ruth and I could visit about family history and genealogy endlessly. I will miss are beautiful visits. We will miss her so much. Again our sympathies to the family.

With Ruth's passing it is like a very nice long chapter of our life has closed. Walt and Ruth were such good friends to our Herbst families and many other ranch families. Walt was always there to saddle up Beulah and go help us move cattle and Ruth was right there to help mom move trucks or feed us riders. Will always have great memories of Walt taking up for us kids when Dad would chew on us out working cattle etc. Great memories of holidays spent together eating and watching football. Rocky Mountain oyster parties originated by Walt and Ruth. Ruth was so pretty and eloquent at Walt's funeral last year as she was through her last few years---she stayed the same sweet eloquent lady. We will miss them greatly but will cherish all the good memories they left with us to keep in our hearts.

I was so sorry to hear about Ruth's passing. My mom and Ruth were childhood friends. I just told her and she is very sorry and will miss her. They graduated together and I know the Ekman family loved Ruthie as a girl too. My mom Doris Burden can tell many wonderful stories. I meet Ruth a couple of years ago and thought she was such a beautiful lady. Bless you all. Remember all the wonderful times and know that Ruth is just perfect now and happy. Ruth was a classmate of mine with the class of 1944 in Riverton. I admired her very much. She was one of the friendliest persons I had the privilege of knowing. Mary remembers how kind Ruth was to her Mom when in the DAR.
