Bernice Seminole - 1/12/2024I will always remember Wayne with fondness. I was privileged to sit under Wayne's teaching of the Arapaho language at CWC for 3 classes. What a wonderful man! Whenever I would meet him at school (St. Stephens), in Walmart, at the grocery store, at the casino, wherever, he was always so positive and warm. We would visit for quite some time. Will miss you, my friend. La Vina
La Vina Ann Witt - 1/12/2024I am sorry to hear about Wayne's passing. I met Wayne inthe 80's when we worked at St. Stephens. He was truly an inspiration for the young people. He was always happy to see me whenever we seen each other. He always told me what he was doing that was good for the Arapaho people. I will miss seeing him around the Rez. My condolences to his family, especially his sisters.

Denise Addison - 1/15/2024My sincerest condolences to the C'Hair family and to the tribe on hearing about the passing of this knowledge bearer. I was fortunate enough to take language classes with Mr. C'hair at the University of Wyoming. But he brought even more to all of us than only his language classes (which were also excellent!). He also shared stories- and he was a great storyteller! I will always remember his great sense of humor too. I also appreciated how he took time to talk with all the students and encourage all of us working towards our degrees; that support from an elder meant a lot to all of us. I pray for strength for all who are processing his departure. He will be truly missed.
