Larsen/Long/Pierce Family,

Sorry to hear the news about Uncle Mel.  He was a good soul who touched the lives of many.

We will miss his yearly Christmas cards,  random witty letters, newspaper articles, and phone conversations.  Distance didn't keep him from keeping up with our family and what everyone was doing.  He always had a joke or something witty to say.  He will be missed and never forgotten.

Thank you for your service to our country MJ.  God speed. Give Aunt Ila our love.

Sending love, thoughts, and prayers to your family during this tough time.

We'll miss seeing that twinkle in his eyes and his quick wit. His intelligence showed through his eyes and easy smile. He always teased all the girls and had something good to say to everyone.
Rest in peace Uncle Melburn.

It's hard to say how i feel, but sad for sure. Peggy, I think you know how I feel. Mel and I had a friendship that was speical. Coming into the coffee shop, stopping by the house to share stories and jokes, teasing each other. He was very spiecal. Since moving to Colorado I have missed his Christmas cards, he always remembered. God love you Mel. Love to the family.
