Collins, Floyd E.
Garrett,
My heart aches for you and your family. And I wish I could be with you now, to help you through the grief. But I know you are in good hands, with family and friends there at your side.
I'm sorry that I didn't have the chance to meet your dad. In a way, though, I feel I know him, because I know the kind of son he raised.
We'll always be able to remember him, from this day forward, each time we look in your eyes, see your smile, or hear your laughter. He is in you, in your thoughts, and in your heart, where his love will always reside.
In the days ahead, remember that it's okay to laugh when you remember a funny moment, and to cry when the sorrow seems too much to bear. The feeling of emptiness will fade over time, and as you step into the next phase of your journey, his love and his wisdom will guide you.
And my heart goes with you as well. Until I see you again, I’ll be holding you in the light.
Peace.
Sunny
