My thoughts and prayers go out to the family for their loss. I knew Sam from elementary school and he was always kind to me. He was always smiling when I seen his face and even in passing he was always offering a kind word. I was glad to know him.

I will miss Sam very much. My name is Holly and I am the mother of his long time companion Casey. Sam was very intellignet, caring, creative, and a lover of animals. But most of all he loved my daughter and brought her a lot of joy. Thanks for the wonderful memories you gave Casey. I am so glad I got to know you Sam. Rest in peace... Holly

I have known Sam since 2003. Sam and Casey stayed with her mother and myself in Portland as they were in the process of relocating to Oregon. As soon as I met Sam I could see he was genuinely an intelligent, creative, and a very nice person.

He will be missed!
