With a quirky sense of humor and true gift for good
natured picking and pestering, Brahms friends and family
will all agree that he was a bit squirrely, a constant
practical joker and a joy to be around.
An avid bull rider and rodeo fan, Brahm enjoyed the Pavillion Rodeo, Timmy's Ultimate Mini Bulls, The Ready to Ride, Rope your Dreams Clinic with Cody and the boys; and Wyoming Junior Rodeo. He was looking forward to trying his hand at bareback bronc riding in the spring with the Fremont County Youth Rodeo Association, and following in Jared and Reeds footsteps by competing in the Science Olympiad in Casper. Many of his fondest memories were rodeos all over Wyoming with his mom and big brother Reed.
During his seven (7) years in 4-H shooting sports Brahm competed in every discipline at one time or another. Shooting in five (5) disciplines in 2011 and helping his teams to a 4th place finish in archery, a 2nd place spot in small bore pistol and a 1st PLACE finish in air pistol at the 2011 State 4-H Shoot in Douglas. Brahm shot last year with Dudley and the Lander Junior Rifle Club and was excited to soon be getting back into International Air Pistol Bullseye shooting with Chip. He will always be remembered as a friendly competitor and, win or lose a constant good sport .
Brahm was quick with a smile or some good-hearted teasing and always willing to step up and help out whether it is helping novice youth at the archery range or building up the confidence of a new kid settling in on his first bull, Brahm was there for the underdog.
As an accomplished hunter, Brahmer took a beautiful mule deer last year with dad and his brother Reed. This fall he was the 1st one in the family to harvest an archery antelope and enjoyed every step back to the pickup reminding his dad in his teasing, mischievous way of his dad's misses.
He was enjoying a rekindled interest in fishing due to brother Jared's revelation that carp are just as fun to catch as other fish, AND you don't have to clean them. Once again showing his adventurous fun side.
Known not just as Brahm but by a variety of nicknames including Goober, Gomer, Brahmer, and the Brahminator it is easy to remember the spirit, the joy and the laughter that Brahm brought to our lives and the lives of all who knew him.
Always in our hearts, he will be missed but never forgotten. Thank you for blessing us with the greatest 14 years of our lives. We love you buddy with all of our hearts.
Born to Chandra Lynn [Bright] Nettles and Denver Nettles on August 10, 1997 in Riverton Wy, and called away on September 22, 2011 - Brahm is survived by his parents Chandra and Denny and brothers Jared and Reed of Riverton, His grandfather Terry Bright of Thermopolis, grandmother Dorothy Nettles of Thermopolis and countless hundreds of uncles, aunts, cousins and close friends that we all consider family.
