Allen Lambert, 63, of Riverton died Thursday, March 19, 2015, at Sage West Riverton Hospital. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 27, 2015, 2:00 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Riverton. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery with full military honors. Allen Joseph Lambert was born on October 13, 1951 in Chicago, IL to Roger and Ruth Frances (Kustush) Lambert. He was raised and attended school in Illinois. He went to elementary school at St. Domitilla in Hillside, IL and high school at Proviso West. He attended welding school in Phoenix, AZ and became a master welder after his Naval service. He also attended St. Duarte Costa Seminary and School of Religion and St. Luke Evangelical School of Biblical Studies. He was elevated to Bishop, and ultimately Metropolitan Archbishop of Unity Catholic Church (Orthodox) of St.Peregrine Catholic Community. He was a member of the Servants of the Good Shepard, Order of St. Andrew, and the Monastic Order of Saint Sebastian. He was also the State Chaplain of Wyoming. Any spare time was spent ministering to any and all in need. On March 16, 1970 he joined the U.S. Navy, completing boot camp at San Diego, CA. He was Boiler Technician-Petty Officer Third Class on the USS Parsons and USS Sterett during the Vietnam War. Allen was Honorably discharged on March 12, 1974. In the last decade of his life, he began his Priesthood and formal service to God. For his dedicated service to Fremont County and Wyoming Veterans, he was awarded the title of “Honorary U.S. Marine”.

On December 26, 1985 he married the love of his life, Vicky Lynn Bessey in Page, AZ. Together they raised seven children.

He worked as a bus driver while in IL, was a millwright in the 1970’s, a representative for the IBEW Local Union #611 in New Mexico, worked the Alaskan Pipeline, and worked as a Power Plant Electrician for over a decade. He opened, owned, and operated Al’s Small Engine Service, before he and his wife owned and operated 550 Café and the Sidecar Café in Kirtland & Bloomfield, New Mexico, before Allen was called to be a servant of the Lord. He traveled and lived in many different areas including Illinois, Washington, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Alaska, and Wyoming. He was an Eagle Scout, a Square Dancer, was in The Midwesterners Club, Camp Stonebridge, Baseball, Football, Fishing, NRA, Lion’s Club, VFW, Kiwanis, DAV, American Legion, refereeing, umpiring, and also enjoyed coaching sports.

He is survived by his wife, Vicky; his sons, Duane Osmond, Christopher (Kellie) Osmond, Dustin (Rachel) Lambert, and Andre (Kandice James) Lambert; his daughters, Alicia Lambert-Bond and Gloria Bond; his sisters, Marianne T. Lambert, Karen Lambert Pearson (Dennis Clinton), Louise Lambert Makowski (Robert), and Tammy (Jeff) Cooper; his 21 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Roger Lambert; his grandparents, Albertine and Victor Kustush and Yvonne and Antoine Lambert; and his son, Jeremy Lee Lambert.
