Memorial services for Lanie S. Pepper of Riverton will be 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28, from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Riverton. Dr. Michael G. Shane, DDS, will officiate.

A dinner will follow at the church.

According to her wishes cremation has taken place.

Lanie died Tuesday evening, Aug. 18, 2009, at the University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora. She was 36.

Lanie Sue Marsden was born in Riverton on Feb. 8, 1973, the daughter of Gary Lee Marsden and Barbara Sue (Heimsoth) Marsden. The family also lived in Casper and Cheyenne where her father was stationed with the Wyoming Highway Patrol.

She was graduated from Natrona County High School with the Class of 1991. She attended Casper College and became a dental assistant.

On June 25, 1994, she married Todd Pepper at the First Methodist Church in Casper.

Lanie moved back to Riverton with her family six years ago.

At the time of her death, the couple owned Riverton RV Sales and Service and she was also employed by Dental Care of Fremont County as a dental assistant.

She had worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Roy Paulson, DDS at the Casper Children's Dental Clinic and in Lander for Dr. Michael Shane Family Dentistry in Lander.

Her family said Lanie enjoyed her family, friends and her work, enjoyed having many pets, and liked camping. "Family came first," they said.

Survivors include her husband, Todd Pepper of Riverton; a son, Chase Pepper, and daughter, Cambrie Pepper, of the family home; parents, Gary and Barbara Marsden of Lander; and parents-in-law Don and ReNae Hedges of Riverton; sisters, Misty Frazee and husband Mark of Las Vegas, Nev., and Kendi Marsden of Casper and Kevin Sander; two nieces, Morgan and Kylie.

She was preceded in death by a niece, Lakin Marsden, and her father-in-law, Ron Pepper.

Memorials may be made to The Lanie Pepper Memorial Fund to be used for her children's education and sent in care of the Davis Funeral Home, 2203 West Main, Riverton, WY 82501.
