Todd,
I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
There's nothing certain in a persons life except this: That they must lose it.
This is a sad day for all of us. We have lost such a great person. I think sharing our grief would help us all ease our burdens. Personally this is very hard for me to understand.
I have noticed that scripted eulogies only talk about how great someone was which is good but many times it seems untrue or unreal. I think it needs to come from the heart and not just the bottom, it needs to come from all of it. I think the point of a eulogy is to celebrate their life and to comfort the loved ones. I have learned how insignificant the little things are and how colossal the big things are. I think with this loss I am a little closer to understanding how and why certain things happen. Memories are a beautiful gift.
For Chase: Your Mother is in heaven now and you are here at her funeral. This is not the time for us to grieve death but it’s our time to celebrate life. Don’t ever forget her. What I know of your mother is that she wanted to make everyone happy. So at this moment when we are about to lay her body to rest, let’s all think back and remember how Lanie touched our lives individually. How she made you laugh and how good she was as a person. This is not the moment for us to shed our tears but we should all be thankful that we were given the chance to have known a woman named Lanie or more appropriately “MOM”
She will forever be missed but I know in the right time, we will meet her again. Let’s just be thankful for all the special moments that MOM has left us. I hope that your mother will continue to live on within your heart and mind.
For Todd: I am sorry for your loss. I am truly beside myself. I wish I could be their with you. I hope to see you soon. You are in my thoughts.
To Lanie's family: I had the wonderful priviledge of getting know Lanie while I worked with her at Dr. Shane's dental office. She was such a joy to be around and so warm and friendly to everyone. She will be missed by all who knew her! Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you now and always.

Dear Pepper & Marsden Families,
I just heard about the sad news. Lanie and I were friends throughout high school and college. She always had a sweet spirit and a wonderful smile! May you all draw close to God as He comforts you and brings you peace with His living Word:
Psalm 62: 5-8
Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from Him. He alone is my Rock and my Salvation; He is my Fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God; He is my mighty Rock, my Refuge. Trust in Him at all times; pour out your hearts to Him, for God is our Refuge.
In His love,
