Hayley Wells Storrud, born on October 12, 1984 in Jackson, Wyoming, and raised in Jackson and Dubois, Wyoming, passed away unexpectedly on June 28, 2024. She was 39 years old.
Bright, loving, and generous, Hayley approached life with enthusiasm and a great smile. A natural leader, she carved her path with an indomitable spirit that touched the lives of everyone she knew. Her profound ability to connect deeply with others will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
From a young age, Hayley cherished spending time in nature and had a true appreciation for the beauty surrounding her. She found joy in hiking, admiring wildflowers, and rock hunting, passions she later shared with her son, Jett.
Hayley’s adventurous spirit knew no bounds. She took to the skies with remarkable skill, earning her wings and completing several successful solo flights in Cessna planes. Professionally she excelled in sales with a natural gift and a keen sense of humor. Her ability to laugh at herself and share joy with those around her made her presence a delight. She also found great joy in her work at Warm Valley Lodge Assisted Living in Dubois, WY, and Sage Living in Jackson, WY.
She is remembered for her warmth, her laughter, and her kind spirit. Hayley’s legacy of adventure, learning, and love will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Hayley is survived by her best friend Joshua Storrud, their son Jett Storrud; her parents; Otto and Paula Wells; her brother; Orion Wells and his wife; Monika Wells; their children; Wyatt and Sunny; her sister; Gina Storrud; and her husband; Philip Storrud, and their children Isabella and Ava, who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
A celebration of life will be held at a future date in her hometown of Jackson, WY to allow the family time to process their grief over this unexpected loss.
