Dorothy “Duzie” Snell, 73, of Riverton, Wyoming passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at Help for Health Hospice Home. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
Dorothy Sue Bornemann was born on April 15, 1951 in Torrington, Wyoming to William H. and Leona C. Bornemann. She grew up in and attended schools in Torrington and Cheyenne, Wyoming. She had lived in Riverton for the last twenty-one years.
Duzie was baptized into the Lutheran faith and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church-LCMS in Riverton, Wyoming.
She married John Snell on July 12, 1986 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Burns, Wyoming. They combined two families into one and became a family of four children.
Duzie enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing and camping.
She is survived by her husband, John Snell of Riverton, WY; son, Chance and Melissa Snell of Spanish Fort, AL; daughters, Nicki and David Romero of Cheynne, WY, Amy and Dan De Vries of Fort Collins, CO, and Emily and Sal Talamo of Flower Mound, TX; brothers, Jim Bornemann and Keith Lewellan; sister, Marcia Pfister; and thirteen grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Leona Bornemann; and sister, Lynn Thomas.
