Dear Mr. & Mrs. Holliday, Miles and all of Rod's family:

I am very sorry to learn of Rod's death. I cannot imagine what you have all been through these last years. It seems that many of us in our age group are gone now and it's very sad to lose them. I am sorry for the pain your family is going through and wish you the best in the coming days and months. Parents should not have to bury their children and my mom said that was the worst thing she had ever been through was to bury a child. My heart goes out to all of you. I wish I could be there for Rod's services but I cannot. I will remember Rod's smile and all the fun times we all had. I will remember Newt smashing Rod's finger with a sledge hammer while they were splitting wood - that poor finger was never the same! We shared many good times with our families and children over the years. Rod will be missed by a lot of people. He was a very special man.

I just heard of Rod's passing. My deepest sympathies go out to Rods family. May the knowledge that Rod is at peace and out of pain help in your greiving process. Rod was a classmate of mine in the class of 71 at Shoshoni and he was a good friend. I remember when the basketball team had to wrestle against the wrestlers. I had to wrestle Rod, he pinned me in 15 seconds, smiling the whole time. He will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
