When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure. I have many "treasures" of Jo. I am so sorry for your family's loss but now heaven has gained a new angel. I have known Jo for about 23 years. She had a passion to teach children and bring joy to the classroom, but her first joy was her family. Jo spoke constantly about her children and grandchildren. The love and pride for her family shone like a beacon in the night. Jo will be sadly missed, but we can take comfort in her "treasures".
In Friendship,
Valorie Ratliff
Jo was a very special person.... Mike worked with Bob & we visited with them many many years ago.... we will always remember that very wonderful laugh she had & what a wonderful friendly person she was.
Our deepest condolences to her kids in the loss of someone so young. She was so very proud of you & the grandkids.
Again our deepest sympathy.
You have my sympathy.

Sincerely,
Earl, Verna, John, and Family
I was so saddened to hear of the loss of your mother-grandmother. I remember all the times at St. John's growing up sitting next to Grandma Lu. She was always a wonderful and kind person to me! Fair week just won't be the same without her in the barns with the boys. She LOVED her grandchildren. I don't remember an event where they were at that she wasn't rooting them on from the sidelines.
May God Bless you in this time of grief. Imagaine the reunion of your mother with her parents and the Lord!
Verna & family,
So sorry to hear of the passing of your dear mother. She was a very special lady. She always had a ready smile for anyone & kind words. She will be missed by family & friends but the memories we have will keep her with us until we meet again in heaven

Oh my, I am so sorry and shocked. I didn't find out until this afternoon. My sympathies to all and my heartfelt sorrow for you. I loved her dearly and she will be missed greatly, she was a wonderful assistant and most of all a friend. My love to you all also. I am so sorry that I wasn't at the services but I didn't know. Tammy Smith-Dexter - 3/24/2012My deepest sympathy for your loss. Your family has been in my prayers these past days. Jo was a great classroom assistant - her great sense of humore kept us smiling on more than one occasion.
My heart is saddened at the passing of Jo. She loved her family, working with special ed. children and her smile was radiant. She will be missed but I know she is already curled up in heaven with a child cuddled on her lap. What a wonderful lady. (I worked with Jo for several years at Jackson school) Karen Klein
