Aunt Ada, Cal, Angela -- Thanks for the amazing summary of Uncle Bill's life. It's so good that he had all of you there for him.

To a Giant of a Cowboy : What a wonderful Man

He knew so much about the geology of that area. Only met him a few times, but enjoyed our long talks and shared interests in books on the topic. And Ada’s cooking.

(Had forgotten, though, that besides sharing the same first name, we share the same birthdate.)

We will certainly miss Bill. He was one of the "real cowboys" and a good person. Our prayers are with your family.

The world has lost a truly great man. I only knew Bill for a little while, but once I got to talking to him, it felt like I'd known him for a very long time. I ran into him on a hunt, and we just hit it off. I got to ride around with him and Cal, checking on cows and listening to stories. I could've stayed on that ranch and listened to his stories all week! In fact, I went back to the ranch a few times that month. His simple obituary is a testament to the humility of the Wyoming cowboys. The world doesn't make people like Bill very often, so I am so grateful that I ran into him on that warm, dusty October afternoon. RIP Bill. I hope I get to see you again sometime. My love goes out to the family.
