Carlson, Francis "Bill"

I was saddened to read of Bill's passing. May your family find peace in the memories of this great man. I always was greeted with a smile and warm handshake whenever I ran into Bill. The Missouri Valley/Paradise Valley area has lost another great pioneer, but he will not be forgotten. May God grant you peace during this time of sadness.

For Bill's kids and grandkids:
I didn't know Bill well but our last encounter left a lasting impression. It was obvious that he was not well when he came to the office roughly 6 months ago. None-the-less, he was pleasant and cheerful. As he was leaving, he flashed the most memorable smile--it radiated warmth, good will and generosity of spirit. I was struck by the "beauty" of that smile--a rare one, to be sure. However, there was also that feeling that he would not be with us long--but he was putting his best foot forward on the way out. I'm sure he has left you all with wonderful memories!
