I just wanted to tell you both how much I love you, and how much I always loved your mom. She was a good person and will be greatly missed.
So sorry I wasn't able to attend the funeral - I had to work that day, and due to other absences, was unable to get some time off to go. I would have loved to see you both and to have been there for support.
If either of you need anything, please don't hesitate to let me know.
