Dear Family of Beth,
I am sorry for the loss of your Mother Beth. She was always a very special person in my growing up years in Dubois, Wyoming. I have many fond memories spending time at her home at the Carson Motel, spending the night, eating her delicious Friday shell macaroni with marinara sauce, salad, and wine, (even for the kids).
Your Mom was a very hard worker, washing sheets for the motel in the wringer type washing machines, cleaning the rooms, and taking care of her household and family.
Your Sister Dava was one of my best friends. She understood life as the oldest child of parents who had their own business. We had many things in common. Dava and Patty spent many days with Sandy and me playing, exploring, and once getting search parties out to look for us, due to a communication error! We got in so much trouble! My first time being on restriction!
Your Dad was also an inspiration for his hard work in his business of selling gasoline across from Welty's and later at his Independant Station. I loved listening to him talk with his Brooklyn accent.
I enjoyed going to see Beth at Warm Springs Lodge each time I went home to visit Mom. She always remembered who I was and was so gracious.
I appreciate the obituary with Beth's history, much of which I did not know. Your parents were true pioneers. They will truly be missed, but all together now with my Dad, another pioneer of Dubois.
May God comfort you all.
Linda Culver Apodaca
Such a beautiful lady and companion for Mom at mealtime.
We have friends in Casper who also have been "sneakin to the Beacon." Brings smiles just like I hope your memories will.
