Gilroy, Walter G.
You made the world a better place and 'adopted' us all into your family. What precious memories we have of our time spent with you. Snoopy stories, time at the ranch, and the lessons learned from your example. Thank you for blessing us with all you had to share. We love you and will miss you! We will see you again.
The Pierson & Price Family - 4/12/2023My deepest condolences to the family of Pastor Gilroy for your loss. May you find comfort in the knowledge of the resurrection.
Matthew 5:4 - Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

So sorry to hear of Walt's passing! He was always such an encouragement to anyone he met and a great joy to work with at World Missionary Press. My sister, Elsie, and I have many great memories of working with Walt and Caroline as well as hanging out with the family outside of work. He was always a good sport when we tried to imitate his accent 😄and we were always on the lookout for unique "Snoopy" gifts for him. Even though there are years and miles between us, we will always treasure the times we had with this godly, caring family. Love you and praying for you as you transition into the next phase of life without Walt. Until we meet again!
Love,
Twila Sommers Yoder
(and sister Elsie)

So sorry for everyone's loss. So glad to have lived life in Jesus alongside Pastor Walter. Walter was always so patient and kind especially when helping a new young follower of Jesus back in Ontario. Walter inspired me to be more and more for Jesus as a great joyful journey. Job well done Walter. See you when our work is done.
David Allison - 4/14/2023I remember Walter from being his next door neighbour in our wonderful little country community of Rodney , just outside of Springhill, NS
His Mum and Dad had a farm next to ours and his parents were the best ! His father Layton passed way too young and his mother Lilla was best friends with my mum and all of us ! She was an amazing woman!
In our community, we all went to 4-H and I was entered into a princess contest at age 8 years in the Oxford Exhibtion. Well, Walter made and designed that dress and I won that contest in the most beautiful coral dress you ever saw! Talented in so many ways!
Walter also married me in Wesley Church in Springhill and I was blessed with 3 wonderful children as a result of that union!
Once he moved away, we lost contact but luckily his sister Marie who is a retired veterinarian still lives in family homestead.
My sincere condolences to Walters family at this most difficult time!

Vaughn & Kay Hunter - 4/16/2023I wasn't aware of Walter's passing till the day of the memorial service. I'm grateful for having the opportunity to teach with Walter at Lander Christian Academy. He was always so pleasant and easy going. I'm thankful for the times we went to his home with our students while he entertained us. May the Lord give you His comfort and peace as you walk through this valley. Comfort for the whole family.
