George Burns

Burns, George

Please accept my sincere condolences.  George was a prince of a guy, who was always there to lend a hand at the church and school at St. Margarets.  May his memory be a blessing.🙏

Dear Burns Family,

We are very sorry to hear of George's passing. He was an outstanding man who always thought of others. We always loved his visits to our office. George impacted the lives of hundreds of nursing students at Central Wyoming College by creating the Voitures 40 et 8 Nursing Scholarship Endowment with his fellow comrades. He loved presenting the scholarship recipients with their special nursing pin at the annual nurses' pinning ceremony and we were honored to have him do so.  What a legacy he leaves behind! He will truly be missed!

My deepest condolences to George's family.

George was like a second father to me all the years that we fished and did projects together.

I will miss him greatly.

George was a fine Christian man.  I was blessed to get to know him.  Joking with "Lonesome George" was something I truly enjoyed.  I'm disappointed I won't get to visit with again.

What a gentleman we lost. George was one special man. His stories always entertained me to and from Mass every weekend. He'd even sing every so often. I will miss him so much but know he is completely happy and at peace.

We are saddened to hear of George's passing. He was a wonderful person of great character who impacted everyone he met. He was a valued member of St. Margaret's Church Choir with a voice that was pleasing to one's ear! He and Ann loved hosting the choir members for chili soup after Christmas carolling. He enjoyed giving our oldest daughter a hard time about joining the Navy and referred to her as a "swabby". We have fond memories of our visits with him in Lander and Riverton and are grateful we knew him. Prayers for George, Ann, and family members during this difficult time.

We are sorry to hear of George's passing.  He was certainly a memorable person in the history of Dubois.  And he raised his children there and Gary was happy to have known his family.  He was always very personable to everyone and genuinely interested in the happenings of the community.    Our condolences to his all of his family.
