Fox, Bayard
I have wonderful memories of riding together on the Bitterroot ranch, in Kenya and India among other places. Bayard was a great raconteur. I still laugh at his story of being bitten by a beaver his lab Crissy then tried to retrieve while it was still attached to his leg…..
My husband Richard’s first Wyoming job was as a elk guide under Bayard’s gentle tutelage. He changed a Silicon Valley programmer into a Wyoming horse packer.
My condolences to Mel, Richard, Hadley, and Kate. May we all strive to have such a rich and adventurous life as Bayard.

Eric Schilt - 11/1/2024My Condolences To the Fox Family,
What a wonderful person as I was most honored to becoming friends with Bayard so many years ago in Wyoming. I didn't see him that ofter after I moved across the country but it was in Palm Desert, California where he presented me with a copy of the book he wrote entitled Wind River Country (he said I would thoroughly enjoy it) , which I did, as it portrayed all of Wind River Country that I remembered as a young person growing up in Wyoming. I always enjoyed visiting with Bayard and will miss him very much. May he rest in peace.

What I treasure most are the times spent with him just chatting and listening to the incredible stories he shared about his life! He will be missed very much!
