Billie Lappin

Lappin, Billie

You was such a great person to now. Condolences to the family.

Carla Dooley Baker - 1/23/2025

Billie was the ultimate horseman, trainer, whisperer.  He was also an incredible friend and co-worker.  No one worked harder than Billie at anything.  If anyone needed help, Billie was there. You couldn't ask for a better person to work with.

Always that grin or big smile and good sense of humor.

He could do just about anything.  He had the skills of the old generation building gates with leather hinges, outdoor sun heated showers, and anything that one might need to survive on the old place.  Excellent hunter.

Had lots of cups of coffee together on Tollgate, lots of hours plowing snow and helping accident victims who had ventured into the blustery, blizzardy climate of the Tollgate.  The difficulty of any task never caused him to back away from it.  He endured too many tasks that were unnecessarily made more difficult by faulty or uncaring boss.

His friends knew of stories of Billie putting himself in danger attempting to help others.  He suffered a number of encounters from which he emerged battered, but never beaten, always a survivor.

So appreciated.
