I am so sad and shocked to have found out about Shane's passing today. He fought so hard against his cancer. His determination and spirit during his battle at the hospital helped me so much to get up and walk every day, even when I didn't feel like it, to help me beat my leukemia. His kindness, and helpful words during this time were inspiration for me and the others that were battling this disease in the cancer ward. For this, I will never forget Shane. My deepest condolences and prayers are with his family at this time.

I knew Shane from bumping into him at stores. My co-worker and I would always tease him. Very nice guy and did a wonderful job on our floors. He will be missed!!

To Shane's family,

I found out today about Shane's passing while at the clinic in Denver. We were at PSL roughly the same time undergoing treatment for our luekemia's. We always ran into one another while walking our laps up on 4th floor. He was always in good spirits and always had encouraging words for everyone. I remember all the spirited cribbage games he would play with his daughter and how proud he was of his granddaughter when she visiting when we all were in the apartment after our transplants. Even when I stopped to see him when he was in Denver in December he was in fairly good humor even though I am sure he felt like hell. Your whole family is in our thoughts and prayers.

Our condolences to all of you. Shane was a really great guy and good hearted person. We enjoyed playing pool with him for all of these years. He always encouraged his opponents and was a good sport, we have many good memories from pool. He will truly be missed. You are in our thoughts and prayers as you go through this difficult time.
